Some news from Maly Rynek

I haven't written for a while and as some of you are in the midst of the exams or suffering from flu and decided not to show up on Friday, I thought it might be nice on my part to write a few words and send you a bit of info about the things that are going on at the moment in our classes.

Interactive whiteboard
First of all, we've just started using interactive whiteboard. Feel free to comment on that tool and the way it is or could be used in the classroom. I'm still learning to use it, but I reckon it might be fun and make the whole learning process less stressful... Those who didn't turn up on Friday were probably surprised to see a PDF file from our class in their mailboxes. This is thanks to our interactive whiteboard :) From now on I will be able to send you all materials (or almost all of them) by email - just after we have finished our class on Friday. Isn't that great?! ;) At least those who are absent will get some idea of what we did in our class. And those present will have something to revise with.

Changes
Taking into account that many of you have probably decided not to write anything from the quite long list of written assignments, I've made up my mind and decided to do something else. There will still be writing of course, beacause it just IS very important, but from next week on there will be a short translation task (3-5 sentences) from the previous week vocab/grammar/etc. So beware! ;)

Interesting websites
Thanks to our interactive whiteboard and an Internet connection I can share now with you some interesting websites I've come across recently. The first one was presented last Friday.
The Road to Success in Informal English. It might not be the real road to success, but it's worth a look.
Antimoon. How to learn English effectively. I will say a few more words about this website in our classes, but let me just say now it is a place where you will read somewhat revolutionary words, as far as learning English is concerned. However, I'd say I agree with the authors about 95% :) This site is about learning English, it does not give you materials or exercises. Still, it provides you with very inspiring ideas. It's well worth a flutter ;)
